WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD FOR ORBITER?
Personal message from Anthony Malena:
I really wanted to get Orbiter back in a revised format in 2004 (leading up to a triumphant 10th anniversay get-together for any and all members who would wish to attend from Orbiter's long reign as a top online service in Central Florida).
Unfortunately, life happens, and I had to take care of personal business first. That involved my family taking a new form (my children and I now live in Port Orange in our home, while Jamie has moved on) and my responsibilities at work increasing, not to mention two hospital stays earlier this year (I almost lost the pinkie-toe on BOTH feet, but ended up fine).
What will become of Orbiter? I'm unsure right now. I'd love to put some effort into it, but the amount of effort it would require seems insane to me now. I don't even really believe anyone would bother with it (at least, not most of those who are from it's long run in 1994 through 2000, before I moved to Port Orange and it went downhill). If I had the ambition of a younger me, I'd jump on it.
I invite those who are interested in knowing what I am doing to visit the websites I personally maintain (listed below), and come back here occasionally as I may surprise you (and me).
Until next time....

W E ' R E   B A C K ! ! !
Thanks to some persistence, Orbiter Online is finally working it's way back up to
warp 10 and beyond! Those who have been a part of Orbiter Online (or even Starship Sirius,
so many years ago) in the past, as well as those who may be new to this system, are
invited to check back frequently as we prepare to reopen our doors to the public!
Our wide variety of games, web hosting, and a safe place for the family to enjoy
their online time will be returning to greatness!
And . . . what better time to do this than during our TENTH ANNIVERSARY online?!?!
WELCOME ABOARD!
Orbiter Online offers budget Internet and Games access to the community.
Thanks to our low overhead, our commitment to low-cost access and our
not-for-profit nature, we have become Volusia County's upstart success story,
establishing our presence in 1994 and growing to one of the largest and longest
running online services in the Central Florida area.
ACCESS TO OUR SYSTEM
We offer the public not only an online service, not only a BBS, and not only
a game networking center, but all three combined... and more! Through our
service, members have been able to enjoy our vast offerings for as little
as $5 per month, but now we offer our online
experience for FREE!
You can play any one of our many online multiplayer games, such as
The Rose,
MajorMUD,
Swords Of Chaos, Tournament L.O.R.D., Mutants,
Tradewars Pro w/T-Warped,
Tradewars v3 Gold (via the Tradewars Game Server),
Mage Connection, Crossroads of the Elements, Global Destruction,
Lords Of Cyberspace, Blademaster, Fazuul, Androids, Doc Zimmerman and many more! Soon you
will once again be able to play your favorite PC Games with other users - games such as Starcraft,
Age of Empires, Quake, Diablo and many others! We are your complete online
content provider.
WEB HOSTING
A web presence shouldn't cost you an arm and a leg. We have put many local businesses and
family websites on the internet for a very low cost and can even get you your own
domain name. We are not currently hosting outside websites at this time due to our move, but have
hosted many over the years.
You may visit my own family's site at
Malena.Net,
for a small example of what the average person can do for themselves, their family or even
their business on the worldwide web. Details of our future, updated web hosting offerings will
be available in time...
