Orbiter Online is a public access bulletin board server, offering full Internet access to the general public. Thanks to hard work and dedication of the core staff, our system has grown to immense proportions in only a year. It's hard just to keep enough phone lines available for users on the system these days!

Utilizing Worldgroup by Galacticomm and their Vircom's Major TCP/IP, we are able to provide the community with low cost Internet access. We intend to grow and prosper thanks to the many donations sent in each month, and to continue to set the example in Volusia County for quality low cost online service.

Also available is non-Internet access to all other functions onboard the server for abount $2.50 a month. Free Internet email is given to all validated accounts! We want to give our entire community a place to enjoy the Internet, to meet new friends, and to participate in all that we offer.

My partner Joan, along with my wife Jamie and I, started Orbiter Online unofficially in October of 1994, testing software and configurations until we came up with our current scheme. On November 1, 1994 we officially went online here in Daytona Beach. Since then we have experienced growth greater than we ever could have dreamed, and strive to continue the growth with even more expansion via new addons and more phone lines. Along with my wife and partner are our four kids, Daniella, Amanda, Anthony and Christopher. They think Orbiter Online is cool (and in a few years, they'll be running it, of course). Don't look for a picture of Joan (yet)... she's a bit shy. But we'll get her on the web soon... maybe that cool picture of her with the two Klingons (you think I'm kidding?!).

Orbiter Online is uniquely able to provide I-CARE Children's Advocacy Center with it's own presence on the Internet. The work done by I-CARE is among the most important today - the care and counseling of sexually and otherwise abused children. I-CARE, a part of the National Association of Children's Advocacy Centers, serves Volusia and Flagler counties. Thanks to the efforts of its employees, I-CARE helps hundreds of children and their families every year deal with the nightmare of abuse.
