See the Video for an easy way to add people to your event quickly. There are two methods. Mass import of people using the All-In-One Excel, and the individual edit method using the “Assign” tab.
To create the All-In-One look here on Orbiter4 software…

About the All-In-One Excel Template to load your participants. This feature allows the quick inclusion of a large number of participants, such as thousands of runners, This is faster than individually adding people on the Orbiter4 tabs. The individual method is to add the participant on the Participant tab, then use the Assign Tab to highlight the Participant, Team, and Bib Number, and finally use the “>” arrow to move them onto the Assign Tab into the event. Every entry on the right side of the Assign screen confirms that the person is in the race.
To create the All-In-One Template go to the top left of the Orbiter4 software. Click on “File” in Orbiter4, and then click on ‘All In One’ and in the dialog box go to the left and “Create” the template. A new Excel template will be produced. Fill out a minimum of four columns, which is “First Name”, “Last Name”, “Bib Number”, and most importantly, “User Label”. For most needs, “User Label” and “Bib Number” are the same. If you forget “User Label” you results will not show. This is easy to fix later but it is best to input the numbers correctly. The reason for having the ability to put a different Bib and User Label is when a bib number is lost but the user wants to keep track of their laps with a different bib number. An example of the template is shown here. The required 4 fields have the red check marks with the others optional.
If after Importing the Template, and the Import fails and is blank, this means that above was not done properly. Check to be sure you imported as an Excel 97 .xls spreadsheet instead of an .xlxs spreadsheet, and the found columns are filled out correctly. Also, note that middle initial is an initial and not a full name.
The individual method of adding people to events is shown here…
